If You Are Just Starting Out In Email Marketing. You Got To Read This.
Which one should I choose, SendinBlue or GetResponse?
A good email marketing software helps you to automate and scale your business. Which one is better, GetResponse or SendinBlue?
It all depends on your need and what is your requirement. Some email marketing tool might suit someone but not others.
There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to creating an effective email marketing tool. What works for one person or company may not work for another. But, there are certain considerations you should make when selecting an email marketing tool, and I’ll explain what they are and give you my recommendations in this guide.
As your business grows over time, your expectation and requirement might change. Many subscribe to one eventually switch to another or even signed up multiple email marketing tools as well.
Which one is better for a newbie?
If you are just starting out in email marketing, in my own opinion, the better email marketing tool will be SendinBlue. This is because it has a simple interface and user-friendly design. The most important thing that it has is a drag-and-drop landing page editor. Moreover it comes with a free forever plan which allow you to send up to 300 emails per day.
Which one is better for non-techies? If you have a simple requirement and want to send out emails with the help of some templates, then SendinBlue is the right tool for you.
But you are trying to create sale funnels, autoresponders and landing pages. GetResponse is definitely your choice to go with.
What are the features differences between these two?
Both have an in-built email automation tool but do not be deceive by its name because both have very different features. Both are very helpful for you to create automated emails. If you want to automate emails for differing types of purposes, both will allow you to do so. For example, if you want to send emails on a daily basis, then you can set it up.
Both SendinBlue and GetResponse offer bulk emailing capabilities. However, GetResponse pricing offer is very limited but do offered a “Free-forever” website builder software and sending unlimited newsletters for free. SendinBlue has a free limit of 300 emails per day, whereas GetResponse does not have a free plan but comes with a 30 days free trial.
Below is a summary of both services what ‘have’ and ‘have-not’:
What are the pros and cons of each service?
Which one should I choose, SendinBlue or GetResponse? Both have their own benefits and drawbacks, which you should consider before choosing any of them. Here are my recommendations:
When choosing an email marketing tool, cost is a very important factor. The higher the price, the more features it offers. But, if you are a newbie or a small business, you might not have a budget to spend for these. You can go with SendinBlue at free and get started. It is a good starter for anyone who is just starting out.
SendinBlue offers an easy-to-use interface. You don’t need any technical experience to use it. The interface of GetResponse is a little bit complex and you will need some technical knowledge to use it. But if you have some technical knowledge, you can easily use GetResponse to run your campaign. SendinBlue is the best choice if you are looking for a simple yet powerful tool that can help you send emails. GetResponse is the best choice if you are looking for a powerful tool that can help you run a successful email marketing campaign.
Sendinblue is best for transactional emails such as “your order has been received”, or “you’ve got a new customer”. I recommend to start with SendinBlue. They offer a free plan that includes 300 emails per day, and you can grow your limit with time. GetResponse is better for a more email marketing campaign such as for automated sales funnels, 200+ emails templates and webinars.
Pricing
Both SendinBlue and GetResponse offer different pricing plans for their service. SendinBlue offers 3 types of plans – Free, Lite and Premium. For SendinBlue, you can choose between free and premium. SendinBlue offers basic features for free such as transactional emails. For free plan you are able to send 300 emails per day which is more than enough when you first started out. It allows you to send more emails when the 300 emails daily limit is reached. You simply Pay-As- You-Go by purchasing more ‘Pre-paid’ email credits.
If you are just starting out, you should choose the free plan. The premium plan offers more features. You can upgrade to the premium plan later if you want features such as landing pages and marketing automation. The free plan is perfect for beginners who want to test out the service. The premium plan is perfect for those who want to upgrade and run email marketing campaign with more features.
GetResponse offers 3 types of plans – Basic, Plus and Professional. The basic plan is the cheapest one. It offers basic features like sending emails, tracking opens and clicks. The advanced plan offers more features like autoresponders, and so on.
The professional – unlimited plan is a little bit more expensive than the basic plan. It offers all the features of the advanced plan plus more. While you can send unlimited emails in all plans but only the professional plan allows you to create unlimited sales funnels and automations. Please note GetResponse has an email list size, the price increases as your email list size grows. It also offers a lot of features like landing pages, forms, social media integration, A/B testing (titles only) and webinars. If you are looking for a powerful automated sale funnels email marketing tool, GetResponse is the best choice. The basic plan is perfect for those who are just starting out.
Conclusion
Both these are great email marketing tools and I have used both of them. Both have their own pros and cons. For me, the most important thing is that you need to fulfill your business expectation and requirement such as transactional email, sale funnels, landing pages etc. with each tool.
If you are not willing to pay for an simple email marketing service, then use SendinBlue and upgrade as your business scale up. Otherwise GetResponse is great for creating email campaigns with sale funnels, 200+ templates, autoresponders and other featues. I personally use both services, but if you want to do a lot of work on automation then you might want to look into GetResponse.
My preferred is have the best of both worlds — use both SendinBlue and GetResponse. I have used both of these tools for years and both are great. For me, it comes down to which one works best for your types of needs. For example you could used Sendinblue dedicated for sending transactional emails which is included in the free plan for messages such as password resets, and sign-up and purchase confirmations! There is even an option to send SMS.
And you can use GetResponse for a broader range of uses like email marketing campaigns, autoresponders, Landing pages, Webinars etc. You can customize your own email template with your own branding, colors, images and text. You can also automate your emails with email automation tool.
